Suggested itinerary:Visit the Blue Mosque, recognizable from its six minarets, built between 1609 and 1616 for Sultan Ahmet I and decorated inside with 21,043 tiles from Iznik in a dominant blue color; the Hippodrome where political, cultural, and sports activities took place during Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman times; Topkapi Palace, the residence of the Ottoman sultans between the end of the 15th and the first half of the 19th centuries, with its treasures, terraces overlooking the Marmara Sea, the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn... You will end the day at the historical Grand Bazaar. Lunch during sightseeing

Suggested itinerary: On your third day in Istanbul, you can take a relaxing cruise on the Bosporus which separates Asia from Europe and connects the Marmara Sea to the Black Sea. You will get the best views of the city and most of the historical monuments in Istanbul. All along the strait and on both shores, you will discover the marble Palaces of Dolmabahce, Beylerbeyi, the beautiful wooden Ottoman villas called "yali" (water-side residences) which stand side by side with modern residential and luxurious apartments, the medieval forteresses etc. In the afternoon, you can visit Chora (Kariye) Museum whose mosaics and frescoes are among the most beautiful in the Byzantine World. You can continue with the visit of imposing Haghia Sophia which marked the apogee of Byzantine Emperor Justinian's reign. Last, you can shop at the historical Grand Bazaar.

Pick up your vehicle in the morning. Suggested itinerary: In the morning, drive along the coast of Bosphorus toward north and discover some of the hidden treasures of Istanbul such as Sariyer and Kavak neigbourhoods. Take the highway and drive to Bolu. According to your arrival time, you might want to make a right turn to Abant Lake (10 mi. before Bolu city) to see its beautiful nature. Overnight in Bolu.

Day 5Bolu - Ankara - Cappadocia292 miBreakfast, Dinner

Today, you will drive to Cappadocia .Suggested itinerary: Drive to Ankara, the Capital of Turkish Republic. Today's highlight is the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations; you will also stop at the Mausoleum of Ataturk, father of modern Turkey. Continue to Cappadocia.The road will follow the shores of Tuz Golu (Salt Lake) where you might want to make a photo stop.

Suggested itinerary: Take a full day to discover Cappadocia. Visit the Goreme Valley, an open-air museum with rock-hewn churches (7th-13th centuries) adorned with biblical frescoes. At a handicraft center, learn about the arts of rural Turkey and watch a demonstration on hand made rugs. Tour an Underground City. Marvel at the cavedwellings and fairy chimneys of the Avcilar Valley and the Kiliclar Valley.Take photos at the best vista points en route to the hotel.

Suggested itinerary: Continue your visits in Cappadocia with Soganli Valley where you will see medieval rock churches within a traditional Cappadocia village. On the road, stop at Sinassos to stroll the streets to see some best examples of 19th century Cappadocia architecture. Stop to see Valley of the Pigeon Houses. We also recommend "Hot Air Balloon Ride" over the magnificent landscape of Cappadocia. You can end the day with a visit to one of the famous wineries of Cappadocia to taste local vines.

Suggested itinerary: Drive to Konya. En route, stop at the Sultanhan Caravanserai - a hotel for merchants during the Seljuk period 13th Centuries. In Konya, visit the Museum of Mevlana, the famous mystic poet, and founder of the Sufi Order of the Whirling Dervishes. Visit alsoInce Minare Museum of Tiles, housed in a 13th century mosque. You can also take a walk on the Aladdin Hill (across the street from Ince Minare Museum) to see several tea houses where people smoke their water pipes.

Suggested itinerary:In the morning, take the road to Pamukkale via Beysehir, where you can visit the Esrefoglu Mosque with its superb decorativewood and stone, you will head northwest to Yalvac, to visit the Archaeological Museum and the ancient Antioch in Pisidia, large Roman garrison town where St. Paul preached a sermon. You will continue by road skirting the mountainous lakes to get to Pamukkale, a unique natural site to visit this "Cotton Castle" wherethe warm waters, which have transformed the cliff, trickle into basins of travertine limestone. At Pamukkale, you can also visit Hierapolis ancient city spa whose well preserved necropolis is one of the largest of the ancient world.

View the remains of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. After lunch, visit also Ephesus Museum and drive toSirince Village with its old 19th century Greek houses which have been nicely restored. Suggested itinerary: In the morning, depart for Pergamum, the capital of the Attalid dynasty. Visit the ancient city where parchment was invented: the Acropolis with the ruins of the agoras, temples, palaces, the library which contained 200,000 volumes, the podium on which stood the Zeus Altar which was sent to Berlin, and the impressive theatre built on the hillside which provides a wonderful panorama of the surroundings. In the lower part of the ancient city, visit the Asclepion, a sanctuary and a healing center dedicated to the god of healing, Asclepius. Continue to the ancient city of Troy whose history covers a period of about 3,400 years with nine layers of settlements (Troy I to IX). King Priam's glorious city, which can be found in the Iliad, Homer's epic poem, was immortalized through mythological characters: Helen, Menelas, Paris, Agamemnon, Achilles, Hector...and the legendary Trojan Wooden Horse, a reconstruction of which stands at the entrance of the site. Suggested itinerary: After breakfast drive to Bursa, You will spend the afternoon exploring the lovely city of Bursathe first capital of the Ottomans between 1326-1364. Visit the Green Mosque, renowned for its interior tile decorations in brilliant shades of turquoise, green and blue, the Green Mausoleum of Sultan Mehmet I, the Tombs of the Sultans founders of the Ottoman dynasty, Osman and his son Orhan, and the Silk Bazaar. The Great Ulu Camii Mosque, with its twenty domes, remains the religious and social center of Bursa. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Suggested itinerary: After breakfast Drive to Iznik, the ancient Nicaea which became the Byzantine capital during the Latin occupation of Constantinople in the 13th century. Nicea is known for the two ecumenical councils which were held there in the Byzantine times, and for its famous workshops where the beautiful enamelled tiles which decorate the Ottoman mosques and palaces, were manufactured. Continue to Istanbul and cross the Bosphorus that separates Asia from Europe and connects the Marmara Sea to the Black Sea. From the bridge, you will be stroken by the particular beauty of Istanbul.
